The 2020 Nissan Pathfinder is ready to elevate your next adventure with impressive power, smart entertainment features, and advanced navigation. If you're searching for a car that's packed with power and road-trip-ready right off the lot, then you should consider a 2020 Pathfinder. Keep reading to learn more about this midsize SUV.

Punchy Performance and Smooth Ride
Built in Tennessee, the Nissan Pathfinder SUV has a 284-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine. Standard is a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive-with an all-wheel-drive option available. The Pathfinder gains speed briskly and can merge and pass effortlessly at highway speeds. The V6 is energetic, while the XTRONIC CVT operates smoothly under the hood.

The SUV feels stable when riding curves, and its brakes provide reliable stopping power. The optional all-wheel-drive system facilitates excellent traction on slick roads. When correctly equipped, the Pathfinder can tow up to 6,000 lbs. The Pathfinder gets better-than-most gas mileage, with an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

Spacious Interior and Ample Cargo Space
With three-rows, the 2020 Pathfinder can seat seven people. Even tall adults are comfortable in the supportive front seats with plentiful headroom and legroom. The second row is just as spacious, and while the third row is less so, it's perfect for small kids and teens. You'll find the Pathfinder to be quiet at highway speeds, and many of its inside surfaces feel luxurious and soft to the touch.

Behind its third-row seats, the Pathfinder has 16.2 cubic feet of cargo space. Space increases to 47.4 cubic feet when the third-row seats folded. With the second and third-row seats folded, you can play with 79.5 cubic feet of space. Standard on this year's model are cloth upholstery, but ventilated leather front seats, heated second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel are available.

User-Friendly Infotainment
The Pathfinder has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, six USB ports, HD Radio, a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, tri-zone climate control, and a CD player. The touchscreen is controlled by tapping on the screen and using the buttons and knob on the dashboard. It's user-friendly and easy to adjust the essential climate and audio functions while driving.  Available upgrades include a 13-speaker Bose stereo, navigation, and two 8-inch monitors with headphones for passengers in the back.

Top Safety Pick
The 2020 Pathfinder received an overall safety rating of five out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This rating was based on five stars earned in the side crash test and four stars in the frontal and rollover crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named it a Top Safety Pick. The SUV received the rating of "Good" (highest) in five crash tests.

These ratings are thanks to standard safety features such as rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. You'll also find a rear door alert system that reminds you to check the back seat for passengers before exiting your vehicle.

2020 Nissan Pathfinder Trim Levels
You'll find the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder in four trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Seven seats and a V6 engine with a CVT and front-wheel drive are standard in all trim levels. An all-wheel drive is an available option.  Let's look at which features align with each trim level.

The Pathfinder S is the SUV's base model and comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite and HD radio, a CD player, a six-speaker stereo, six USB ports, and Bluetooth. Additional features include remote keyless entry, push-button start, cloth upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Standard safety highlights include forward collision warning, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking.

The Pathfinder SV builds on the features of the S and adds:

Rear cross-traffic alert
Blind-spot monitoring
Remote start
Adaptive cruise control

The available Technology package combines heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, and navigation.

The Pathfinder SL takes the SV one step further, adding the following features:
