If you have children, you'll be happy to know that the Altima has two complete sets of LATCH connectors on its rear outboard seats. A tether anchor is available for the middle seat. Infotainment, Navigation, and Bluetooth

The user-friendly NissanConnect infotainment system is standard on the Altima. It's easy to find what you're looking for while en route, thanks to nicely arranged, physical controls. Standard features include six speakers, a 7-inch touch screen, voice recognition, two USB ports, Bluetooth, and satellite radio.

You can choose to add an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and a nine-speaker Bose audio system. Also available are a push-button start, remote start, proximity keyless entry, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Performance and Gas Mileage

The standard Altima comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 188 horsepower. All-wheel-drive models produce 182 horsepower. If you seek more power, go for the SR trim with a 248-horsepower turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines are paired with continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). While the base engine isn't the most powerful among midsize sedans, it's more than enough for everyday commutes.

When driving the Altima, you'll notice minimal body lean and that it easily handles corners and bumpy roads. The automatic transmission is pleasantly responsive when paired with either engine.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Nissan Altima gets an estimated 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. This is with the standard 2.5-liter engine-impressive for a midsize car. All-wheel-drive versions get 26/36 city/highway, while turbocharged models get 25/34 city/highway.
